About the Opportunity

Westgold is seeking a driven and technically strong Senior Geologist – Resource Definition to lead drilling programs, grow resources, and play a key role in shaping Life of Mine outcomes. This is a leadership role offering the chance to influence operational success while mentoring and developing a high-performing geology team.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and supervise resource definition drilling, logging, and QAQC processes
  • Manage and mentor geologists, graduates, and technicians
  • Plan and coordinate drilling programs aligned with Life of Mine strategies
  • Analyse and interpret geological data to support resource growth and optimisation
  • Collaborate closely with mining and technical teams to deliver production outcomes
  • Ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective geological operations

What You’ll Bring

  • 7+ years’ experience in mining geology (gold experience preferred)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within a production environment
  • Strong technical capability across drilling, data management, and geological interpretation
  • Experience with Surpac, Leapfrog, and QAQC processes
  • Ability to influence, communicate, and drive performance across multidisciplinary teams
